Well thought out battle strategies win battles only if on ground battle tactics are extremely competent. Known maneuvers and predictability in action cost the battle.  Reconstructing your opponents “what if analysis” and turning it on its head is the key to success, of course it is very tough to crack.

For battle tactics to succeed you need  to have complete faith in all resources which are involved or which may get involved. It is also important to maintain complete belief in your own wisdom and not waiver when the battle tends to swing unpredictably.

It is important at all times to remember that tactics are inherently instinctive. Experience and exposure can get you to deliver a correct automatic response, however tactics (at best) can be guided but  never tutored.
